Born in Barquisimeto, Venezuela, I arrived in the U.S at the age of three. Showing a strong apptitude in the arts lead to my studies in painting, drawing, design, music and writing under accomplished teachers. After my university graduation, I embarked on a journey exploring and producing a wide and versital range of multimedia artwork. This has included: customized fine art for homes and businesses, company logos and advertising products, store front displays, theatrical set designs, make-up designs, custom painted apparel, characatures and cartoons, gallery exhibitions, art instruction, published lyrics and poems. Having overcome an eating and self image disorder in my teens, I was motivated with a strong desire to help others with similar challanges. This led me to work in the health and wellness field as a nutritional behavior modification coach and counselor at several health spas and fitness centers in California, Florida and Georgia. Motherhood elevated my passion to pass the knowledge I'd acquired to younger generations. I began teaching in the public school system 22 years ago and am still going strong! My daily practice of meditation for 45 years has been and continues to be the core staple ingredient which keeps me centered in creativity receiving and delivering inspirational messages and uplifting quotes which are translated through my artwork. Calligraphy Woman springs from my sincere desire to uplift and motivate people of all ages through my diverse talents.
